Belinda Hart is a California Textile Artist, whose work is inspired by the organic colors and textures that occur within the natural world. Working from her studio, Windows on Woodstock, in the Santa Ynez Valley, she translates her inspirational surroundings into hand-dyed, hand-painted cottons and silks. Her free-motion quilting characteristically follows the form of the individual image in each piece.
From a very young age Belinda's artistic talent was manifested in drawing and painting. Early endeavors lead her to wearable art and sewing. She became fascinated by the more tactile form of textile art and design, and began collecting needlework, weaving and mixed media artworks.
Today, in her studio overlooking the valley, she is a creator of original artwork from fabrics, paints and threads. Her work is shown in solo exhibitions, juried exhibitions, Central California galleries, and is held in private collections.
